I've had the pleasure of knowing this beautiful bride since we were very little. Our fathers were best buddies in high school, and are still close today. Since I'm a few years older than Pam, when I heard she was getting married, my first thought was, "No, that can't be right. I'm only 20, so Pam must only be like…17!"
And then I remembered I'm 25.
Plus 3 more.
At Pam + Alex's reception, one of her uncles made a beautiful toast…and what stuck with me was one word he used to describe her: Gracious. So completely true. Although I've know Pam and her whole family my whole life and only just met Alex the day of the wedding, it's very easy to see that's a trait they share. These two were an absolute pleasure to work with, and I was once again reminded of why I love my job so very much.
To describe Pam + Alex's day as a whole: everything just flowed together perfectly. I got to see Pam's STUNNING lace dress a few days prior to "the big day", and everything else just matched the dress. From the wildflowers on the tables and the vintage, mismatched chairs at the reception, to the flowing hairstyle Pam chose, to the spots she and Alex picked out for their bridal portraits: the whole day was a perfect mix of delicate vintage + rustic details. Here are some of my favourites from their wedding day!
Right here, RIGHT before the below shot, Alex said something along the lines of how he has a hard time smiling on command, and so he's learned that when he needs to smile, he just has to look at Pam, and then he smiles naturally.
I mean COME ON. If that's not the sweetest thing I've ever heard! And apparently it works for her too :)
And THIS…this is a fun way to end a day :)
