I was so so SO pumped about taking this little monkey's pictures again! Our first session was back in the summer, and while I don't think she's grown a while lot since then, her precious curly hair HAS gotten longer and bouncier!!! What a little doll :)

If you know me well, than you know that I'm "a bit nervous" around any kind of winged creature. And if you know me REALLY well, you know that "a bit nervous" actually means "completely terrified to the point of running away screaming." You just never know where they're going to fly...they're very unpredictable. This fear may or may not stem from Alfred Hitchcock's, "The Birds"... So shooting around the duck pond at Bowring Park always makes me a little nervous, because it houses somewhere around 896,000 ducks, pigeons, and swans. Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating. We headed to the Park for the Hopkins shoot, and I'm proud to say that I didn't get bitten or flown into by ANY ducks. But I DID get some fun shots of this sweet couple and their VERY cute little man, Mr. "L"..... Silly ducks...aren't you supposed to by flying south?? I'm a BIG fan of graffiti! I might start carrying around a can of spray-paint to my shoots... :) Possible fave of the day! I think it's half because of those big blue eyes, and half that INSANELY cute expression!
Precious nephew #2. We spent the night at J's Mama's house while in Fredericton, and while there we headed out to the backyard with Kayden, an apple, and an antique rocking chair. Little did I know that the apple would make it's way into almost every shot... Don't you just want to CHEW ON HIS CHEEKS?!?! Sigh...I have the best nephews ever made :) Lately I'm drooooooling over this warm b&w finish with a little extra noise brought in...
Sometimes, I see a kid that is so stylish, I want to hire his or her mom to dress ME. Enter, Mr. "A". Seriously, seriously precious. Yah, you guys are a pretty good-looking family all around! My favorite shot(s) of the day! Love the hat...sweater...scarf...all of it!!! Hands down, best. jacket. EVER!
We were blessed with an UNNATURALLY dry and warm day for the Hancock's shoot! They have a park just a few houses down from their place, so we headed there for some of these fun shots! BACKWARDS day! I'm posting my favorite image FIRST!! And ps...when a 1-year-old has on super awesome DC shoes...how do you NOT take pictures of them!??! Love that tie! My kids are going to wear cool ties every day. What a rockstar.
After a not-so-great welcome back to NFLD, which basically consisted of a full week of cancelled shoots (thank you, yucky Avalon East weather...), I was SUPER pumped to have a semi-dry day for the Gorman's shoot! This little girl is so insanely precious, and is going to be a model when she grows up. Seriously. She was a complete little ham for the camera, and just had smile after smile. The first word that pops into my mind when I see her little smirky smile is, "imp" :) Ps...I want a monkey hat just like hers :) Enjoy! My favorite 2 of the day :) LOOOOOVE the monkey hat. Love. LOVE!
Kathleen booked her grad shoot with me a few months ago, and when the day of her shoot came in mid- November, I took one look at her and immediately was like, "Holy cow, she looks SUPER familiar!" I assumed this was just my brain after one too many coffees, because we live in different provinces and therefore could never have met before (logical? not so much…). After the shoot, when I was backing up her photos, I again could not get over the feeling that I had met/seen her somewhere before. So much so that I considered googling her to see if she had ever been in a movie or tv show (again, sometimes logic is not my strong point…) So a couple days later, Kathleen emails me, to tell me that she was going through some of her old pictures, and realized that back when she was in elementary school, I was her Sr. cabin leader at camp one summer! WHAT!!? Of course, as soon as she said this I completely remembered her…and of course I had to (I'M SORRY KATHLEEN!!!) go dig out one of my pictures from the week she was a camper…and scan it…to include it in her album :) At least now I know I'm not crazy. But as it turns out I AM quite impressive at remembering a face…even if I can't remember whose face it is :) This shoot can be described in one word. "Gorgeousness". That's all. Just a whole lot of gorgeousness! Starting with....one of my faves!!! Ps..if I could re-do my wedding, it would take place in front of this b-e-a-utiful red door!! One of my (many many) faves from this shoot! I think this was RIGHT before I hollered, "I REALLY LIKE YOUR FACE!!!"
My husbers has known the Hansons since elementary school (except back then...they weren't married...or probably even dating too seriously ;) ) and every time we head to NB we try to make plans to meet up with them and their beautiful girls...plans that usually don't end up working :( That said, I was pumped not only to take to take their photos, but also just to catch up with them!
