My dear darling husband isn't here in PEI with me and Nya yet, so (out of the fear that Baby Hawk 2.0 would come early, like Nya did, and I wouldn't have any belly pictures) I had my Momma take a few shots this week. I, for one, think she did a fantastic job...and I'm so very happy that my little Doll was so pleasant the whole time!
I decided I would share these images on my blog, for anyone who follows my work but might not be on my Facebook (all 3 of you!) Haha. And also because now that I'm not working, I feel like my blog might be feeling just a little bit ignored, and start harbouring feelings of resentment toward me :) I will ALSO take this opportunity to answer some questions I've been asked multiple times in the past few weeks/months, as a way to save time/breath. Here goes.
{ I'm due October 19th. Nya came a week early, but who really knows what will happen this time.
{ It's a boy.
{ No, we don't have him named like we did with Nya. Why yes, that DOES make me feel a little bad, considering Nya's awesome "name story". We have his middle name, but about 5 names that we love for a first name. I think we just need to see him, and then we'll know. I hope.
{ I'm having this baby in PEI, like with Nya, because I was already set up with my doctor here, and I felt that by the time we were settled in NB, finding a doctor I liked would have felt really rushed. Plus, J was supposed to be back up North for a week (THIS week), and I would have felt a little nervous being in NB, alone with my belly and Nya and literally no one to call to take care of Nya if I was to go into early labour.
{ Nya is 21 months old. Yes, they'll be pretty close in age. But not THAT close in age. I'm sure it will be fine. Or it won't. Whatever. The WORST that can happen, is that Nya is too rough with the baby and
we have to sell her on Kijiji.
And now, without further adieu, Baby Hawk #1 (aka Nya) and not-quite-born-yet Baby Hawk #2!
Clearly, my child is thrilled at the prospect of being a big sister...
I looked at the below picture, and then realized how similar it is to a shot my friend Charlene took two Octobers ago, (below right) when I was a little over 6 months pregnant with Nya!
