These lovelies met up with me at my parent's farm for their evening session at the first of September, and the light could not have been more perfect! Sessions in PEI are my favourite…because the farmers who owns all the fields I want to photograph in…are my Dad and Grandfather (aka Bampy!). Makes for easy location scouting ;) Here are a few of my favourites of John Ross, Ashley, and Little Miss T!

Dorian + Amy were married at my home church in Western PEI in July. I am so, SO THRILLED that they planned there wedding for July, and that even with my growing belly I was able to keep their wedding on my schedule for the summer ;) Some of my favourite things about this wedding: - The bridesmaids dresses. Pale blue, pale yellow, mint, coral, and pale purple. OH my land. - The flower halos that Ashley (sister, bridesmaid, and mother of the flower girl!) made for Amy + Miss T (the flower girl). - All the happiness :) - The soft, peaceful worship music Amy had playing while the girls got ready at her parent's home. - PEI = RED DIRT!!! Hooray!!! - Simple, rustic bouquets of white baby's breath. So gorgeous. - The CAKE! There were pinecones on it! - Getting to watch these two be so completely in love, and take the first step in the rest of their life together :) One of my favourite shots of the day :) But these COLOURS. Honestly. I want these dresses to be mine, to just wear everyday. Around the house. I don't know about you…but I think they're going to be pretty happy together ;) I am so, so SO excited to share these images! During my last "workation" in PEI, I got to photograph one of my oldest friends and her sweet family. They're kinda beautiful :) Here are some of my favourites from our evening session. Oh, and to start with, here's us at my wedding in 2006…you know, back when we looked 12 ;) And now…9 years later (minus me and my wedding dress!) I have such beautiful friends! So…in a nutshell…my August was a little on the busy side. Maybe that's an understatement. August consisted of 12 beautiful families, 1 maternity session, and 2 newborn sessions. I kept my blog up to date until mid-late August, and since then it's been COMPLETELY on the back burner, as I'm busy with sessions, editing, packaging and gallery uploading…all when I'm not running (and by running, I mean waddling as only a 36-week preggo can) after my two Littles ;) So in an effort to conserve a bit of time, I'm going to condense my last five sessions into one blog post, sharing a few from each session! This is like the "multitasking" of the blog world :) {Jordan + Jessica} Baby {J} {M} Family {S} Family {G} Family After a couple days of having some "technical difficulties" (which may or may not be able to be blamed partially, or wholly, on 'Baby Brain'…) I finally have it up and running again. Which means I'm finally able to post this gorgeous Parlee Beach session of my sweet friend Nadine and her three girls! This session was all sorts of perfect. The sky was the most gorgeous "it-might-thunder-and-rain-later" colour, which, I think, scared people away and made this area of the beach relatively people-free :) Nadine, I'm so thrilled these pictures were able to happen, and I love how full of life and joy you + your girls are! Hope you love these pictures. xoxo Oh Miss A, you crack me up! Sweet Baby Hux. Siiiigh. This little doll was as good as gold, but really made me work for the sleeping shots ;) But can you blame him? I mean really…it's his first photo-shoot…he didn't want to miss a thing! Congratulations Sam + Ryan…he is perfect. As I'm sure you already know :) Ummmm yes probably my favourite shot from our session! OH baby H. Seriously with those eyes. A couple weekends ago, I finally finally FINALLY got to meet up with this beautiful family for beach portraits that were supposed to take place LAST summer! Over a year ago, we planned on beach portraits but had to cancel THREE times because of (respectively) rain, rain, and finally a hurricane ;) Leading up to this session at Killarney Lake in Fredericton, the weather was actually calling for possible thundershowers, and I thought I was going to cry…but the sky ended up staying dry!
I am so happy this session finally happened, and so excited to share these pictures! I love this family, and wish we lived closer! Here are some favourites :) Yesterday I shared images from the first of my family sessions in Fredericton last weekend. Here's the second! These are two of our friends and their beautiful "babies"! We've known them since we first started dating many moons ago, so I was extra happy to have the chance to photograph this family :) Also…Miss C's hair. Seriously. I really want Baby Hawkins 3.0 to have pale blond hair like this…but I'm thinking the chances are less than slim ;) Here are some of my favourites from this session, plus some "extended" shots of the whole family! The shot on the right is my absolute favourite from this session!! Sweet sweet kiddos! Sweet cousins! Guess who's being super efficient with her time lately, in an effort to not fall behind on her busy busy late-summer, 7.5 months preggo schedule? THIS GIRL!!!! Last weekend I had sessions with three gorgeous Fredericton families…here's a little peek at the first of those sessions, with Zach + Sheryl + their beautiful kiddos! The below shot? Oh my glory. This kid!! "Perhaps you were born for such a time as this." Esther 4:14 The above verse is from the book of Esther in the Bible, and I adore it and think it speaks SO much to "Momma-hood". There is no experience that surpasses or even matches it. And THAT is why my absolute favourite sessions are maternity, birth, and newborn: capturing a Momma and her babe in those first few weeks of getting to know one another (outside the womb!) and already being so very much in love :) This little human decided to be born three weeks early…which meant that by the time we held his newborn session (later than most, at almost three weeks old!) his actual due date hadn't even arrived yet! Baby Parker has the sweetest blond hair, some of the cutest little lips I've ever seen, and carried the most special name: Parker Douglas. But that seems so grown up a newborn so I'll refer to him as BABY Parker Douglas :) That little fluff bum!!! But those BACK WRINKLES!!!! Be still my heart! Hands down my favourite shot of the day! |
