Well if these two Littles aren't two of the cutest people ever made…here are a few favourites from my family mini-session with the D family at Killarney Lake.
Yesterday, I finished this lovely couple's wedding gallery, and I am THROUGH THE ROOF excited to share them on my blog. Buuuut I thought maybe it would be inappropriate to share them before I share their engagement photos, from earlier in the summer! Here are a few favourites of Jared + Em, and their beautiful boys! Now and then, I think it's completely appropriate to start a blog post with a shot of a particularly goooorgeous family…from a little over two years ago :) That is one teeny, tiny, adorable Mr. C !!! Since 2012, this family has grown by one precious little girl. In August, after having our session post-poned once for a hurricane, once for rain, and a third time for sickness, we finally were about to meet up in Fredericton for "round two" of our photo session…at the same location where we held our session in 2012! And I must say…there is simply no way Pammy, Shane, and their two little dolls could be any more beautiful. I love this sweet family, and am so happy the weather finally gave us a beautiful day :) It is unbelievable to me that the last time I met up with this beauty family for a session, Miss R was still in her Momma's belly, and Miss H was just a little tot! These two redheads have grown so much, and are such beautiful little dolls! When their Mom asked if we could include their pony, Chico, in some shots…I almost screeched with excitement! I'm so pleased with the results! Here's some adorable-ness for your Wednesday! K family….I love your family. Please adopt me! :) Usually this blog is reserved for my outside-the-home job. Today, I thought this might be fun. I don't drink, but I literally roll on the floor laughing every time I read through a funny drinking game. So naturally, I thought it best to invent one that requires coffee instead of alcohol. So pour yourself a fresh cup and enjoy. Stay-At-Home-Mom Drinking Game *Meant to be played with coffee. Very, VERY strong coffee. I cannot be held accountable should you choose to play this game with other sorts of drinks. 1. Take a drink every time a Tiny Human pulls out a handful of your hair. 2. Take a drink every time a child feels the need to stay in the bathroom with you while you use the toilet. Take another if said child then shouts some variation of, "Yay Momma! You peed on the potty! You get a gummy!". 3. When you check in the back of your baby's diaper for poop, and end up with poop on your hand…wash your hands. And then take a drink. 4. Take a drink every time you have to sit through the theme songs for ANY show on Disney Junior or Treehouse. 5. Take TWO DRINKS every time one of those songs gets stuck on repeat in your head. You forget your own phone number half the time, but the words to "Hot Diggity Dog" are forever lodged in your brain.) 6. Grab a handful of chocolate almonds every time you're waiting for your coffee to re-heat in the microwave. Then take a drink and probably burn your mouth while the baby dumps a whole box of cheerios on the floor. 7. Take a drink when your kids decide to fight over a broken toy neither of them have even noticed for about a month. 8. Drink every time you accidentally look in a mirror. 9. And every time you realize your shirt is on inside out. 10. And/or backwards. 11. Pour yourself a fresh cup when suddenly the house seems very small and the only thing that might keep both kids happy is going for a walk. And your husband is gone with the truck. With your stroller in the back. 12. Take a drink when you realize the only time you change out of your yoga pants is when there is pee, poop, or spit-up on them. And sometimes not even then. 13. Re-heat what's left at the bottom of your mug, and finish it off when you hear, "NO. I WON'T" for the seventeenth time. Congratulations…you have so much caffeine in your body that you can no longer feel your fingers and toes. Have a great day…and thanks for playing ;) **** Disclaimer: I love my Two Tiny Humans very much and there is no place I'd rather be than at home with them. (Or, you know, at a spa or on a beach somewhere…) ALSO during my last "work-ation" in my beautiful home province, I got to meet up with one of my oldest friends and her family for a beach/farm shoot! Here's another reason I love PEI: if I tried to hold a beach session at one of the popular beaches here in NB, I'd constantly be waiting for beach-goers to move out of my frame. But where I grew up, there are SO. MANY. BEACHES. If you head to the beach, and there's more than like...two other people on it, you're like, "Oh...it's really busy here. Let's go someplace else." For real. Have I made you feel like PEI is the very best place to live? Good :) Here are some of my favourite's of this gorgeous family! ***SIDEBAR: I'm totally stealing this whole colour scheme for my family portraits that will be happening...someday... :) I had the opportunity to meet up with this beautiful family while I was in PEI for my July weddings, and they were visiting from Alberta! These are two of the most adorable kids that have ever been in front of my lens. I mean, c'mon. How do you stop taking pictures when kids are this sweet?! :) Here are some images from our session at West Point beach! Below…my absolute favourite of all my favourites from our session! Let's talk about things we do when we're 38 weeks pregnant. For me, the list would include super exhausting things like, you know, walking to the mailbox…or washing a load of laundry…or maybe baking muffins. As for wardrobe, I'm typically seen in stretchy pants and t-shirts.
For this gorgeous Momma-too-be (for the second time!) 38 weeks pregnant meant gearing up in full red serge, and joining around 7000 fellow RCMP officers (as well as officers from countless other police officers) in parade, marching 1.5 miles to both celebrate and mourn the lives of three fallen heroes in Moncton, NB. I am so excited to share these images, and beyond proud to call this beautiful lady my friend! I'm also very much looking forward to the arrival of Baby B 2.0…. Here are a few favourites from our session! I know, I know. I'm still in shock too. For the very first time, I've completed my "Top ____ " post in JANUARY…rather than in February. Or March. Or April. I've been busy, y'all. Most of these images are favourites JUST because. Some are favourites for sentimental reasons. Two were not actually shot by me. Mostly, I just picked the images that make my heart pitter-patter :) Hope you enjoy! 40. The most beautiful wedding flowers I.HAVE.EVER.SEEN. 39. Even grown men need their Momma's help sometimes ;) 38. That moment, from a client can't believe you managed to capture shots of her child, smiling, and NOT running away ;) 37. THAT. KISS. 36. Baby Simba!!! (Actually, it's Baby Erik…but whatever.) 35. PEI barley fields + the Ward family. Two things I love! 34. Sweet Mr. D, and his loves for Baby Brother. 33. Do I need to explain this picture? That's my husband, and big sis. They have the same smile, and the same completely ridiculous sense of humour ;) 32. Baby Juliana. My last photo shoot before my own Wee One (#2) was born! Such a sweet babe…and neighbour! 31. I love the feeling of anticipation in maternity portraits. I can't want for Sarah + Jon to welcome their sweet little doll into the world! 30. This couple. 29. A pull-back of the same shot. Such beauts!!! The light right before their reception was so stunning. Plus, I think we've already covered my love for barley fields... 28. Those LIPS!!! I die. 27. This little angel. What a tiny, happy little person! 26. Sweet smiles from Baby Jett! Such a fun session with him and his beautiful Momma! 25. I absolutely love this shot! So much joy…exactly the way a bride-and-groom-to-be should look! 24. One of the cutest brother-and-sister duos ever! 23. Nothing better than a new, squishy babe! 22. "Um…hi. You go ahead and take my picture…I'll just sit here and play with my toes!" 21. When you're coming down the aisle and your groom has a smile like THIS on his face…you know you've made the right choice :) 20. A Bride and her Gram. SO beautiful. 19. Two of my favourites. In one of my favourite places! See that pretty bridge? That's where J proposed to me, almost EIGHT years ago! 19b. Yes, NINETEEN-B. I make the rules. 18. Ten Tiny Toes. 17. I can't believe they chose this as the backdrop to their wedding ceremony. Terrible looking. Hurts my eyes ;) Seriously though…is it any wonder everyone wants to live in PEI?? 16. Waiting. 15. THIS shot makes my heart pitter patter! 14. DOLL. That's all ;) 13. SO. MUCH. PRETTY. She should be a bride everyday! 12. That's one sweet newborn belly!!! 11. One of my favourite moments of the summer: A "first glimpse" with the bridesmaids! Love the reactions! 10. My most-loved images from Adam +Tina's PEI e-session. I love the intimacy I can capture in shots when my subjects are able to forget I'm there :) 9. The cutest thing ever! 8. I love the softness in the tones and focus of this shot. 7. A forever fave! 6. This wasn't the "official" wedding kiss, but rather a second kiss during the "Peace of Christ". It was immediately one of my favourite images from Andy + Erin's wedding…I love the motion around then as they share this moment. 5. Wedding. PEI beach. Early evening light. I don't think this image needs any more explaining! 4. New friends and their new babe! So much love. 3. The only thing I love more than this actual shot, is the fact that he's singing her a song her wrote. For his future bride. When he was SIXTEEN. Amazing. 2. These two. My incredible brother, and his beautiful, amazing wife. It's one of my favourite images for so many reasons. But mostly because of new beginnings. And love. Always love. 1. Well OBVIOUSLY this has to be my favourite image…I mean c'mon. I had a baby in 2013. It would be weird NOT to have a shot of him as my favourite image of 2013. This is my Baby Roman, and my Baby Daddy (I mean, Husband.) I love them with my whole heart. BAM! TWO BONUS IMAGES! Below is my sweet Baby R and me having skin-to-skin time about 60 seconds after his birth…and our Nya girl meeting her baby brother for the first time, when he was a few hours old! Two of the best moments of my life. Obviously these are the two shots I didn't take :) I think J took the one on the left (I was a little too preoccupied by that new little Person to notice who was behind my camera!), and my sister took the one on the right. And there you have it. A year of work, condensed into my most-loved images. 2014…you have your work cut out for you! |
