These 2 are so cute, and are going to make super cool parents!
I met Jennifer and Warren for the first time at our shoot on Sunday, and immediately fell in love with Jennifer's super cute belly :) As soon as I got home after our shoot (and my hands thawed!) I had to process a few of my faves...to use as the first shoot ever with my new vintage frames!

While in NB the at the first of this month, I got to photograph this beautiful family. It was a fast & freezing shoot, but one with lots of smiles and laughs :) These are a few of my favourites of their gorgeous faces!
So when Kati got married, I was unable to take beautiful snow pictures...because she got married in June. And despite what our friends to the south might think, we DON'T typically have snow in June :) We decided to head out over New Years's break to get these very pretty shots of this very pretty girl. I got to wear snow pants, 2 jackets, gloves, a hat, and big ol' boots. She got to wear a wedding dress. She's a trooper!
Here are my most favorite shots from our day in the snow :) My Mercer friends are very pretty, and pretty pregnant :) I can't wait to meet the little pea in this pretty belly! Holy beauty girl!!! Yeesh...I wanta look this awesome when I'm preggers!
I'm "home" in PEI for a little over a week. This Friday, I'll head to Fredericton for a few days and a few photos shoots before flying back to my Very Small Island with my Very Super Husband. I got to spend New Year's here with my Momma and Poppa, sister and her husband, and Nephews #1 and #3, and it's been SO nice to see some snow, and relax...although, since my sister and her hubby left their boys here and headed for Florida on saturday, it's been less relaxing, and more snowball fights with the 3-year-old Nephew, and twice-nightly feedings with the 9-month-old Nephew :)
It's CRAZY to think that 3 years ago at this time, Husband and I were gearing up for our move to NFLD. Neither of us had ever been, and we were anxious/excited about what 2008, 2009 and 2010 would bring for us. So now year 3 of our 3-year-LDP is officially up, and we're pretty sure we know where we're headed next...and that's exciting :) I've never been big on resolutions (suffice it to say I have trouble commiting...) but there are definitely a few things that I'm going to "try" to do more of this year: 1) Leave my ipod at home. I always have that dumb thing in my ear when I'm flying, shopping, etc. It's antisocial. And I need to stop. So I'm going to try to only have it when walking. Which is #2..... 2) WALK more. I've come to despise working out, mostly because I feel that public gyms are scary places, designed to inflict hours of torture on all who enter....So instead of being a gym bunny, I need to just walk, outside, everyday. With my music, and my dog :) 3) Drink less pepsi and coffee (preferably NONE), and more tea and water. 4) Take more photos just for ME. I've gotten away from landscape and nature photography because it makes me feel a little cliche (ie..."Oh look! A closeup of a flower! Ingenious!") But it also makes me happy. And in our new posting, I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of opportunity for landscape photography... :) 5) Figure out how to import my old blog into this one. Sigh. Happy 2011!!!!! |
